CHICAGO, IL, September 20, 2024 – At this year's ACTE Postsecondary Summit, Catapult Masterclass is excited to celebrate the groundbreaking panel titled "Scaling Career-Connected Learning for Chicago Youth: The Chicago Roadmap." This dynamic session focused on the successful partnership between Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and City Colleges of Chicago (CCC), who have joined forces to create the Chicago Roadmap - a collaborative effort aimed at guiding students from high school to college and into career success.

In recognition of their extraordinary work, we are thrilled to partner with ACTE in presenting The Catapult Award to both CPS and CCC for their transformative Chicago Roadmap partnership. This initiative has made a significant impact on the lives of Chicago’s students by providing them with the tools, support, and opportunities to thrive in high-demand career fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, IT, and construction.

The Leaders of both game-changing institutions, Pedro Martinez, CEO of Chicago Public Schools, and Juan Salgado, Chancellor of City Colleges of Chicago, were present to accept the award.

“These pillars of leadership have been instrumental in driving the success of the Chicago Roadmap, and we are humbly honored to have them as our first-ever Catapult Award recipients.”, says Catapult CEO Dr. Kevin J. Fleming.
