With degrees from Indiana University, Ruth brings over two decades of experience in the classroom and district leadership—as a middle school teacher, writing coach, and innovation specialist. Her work emphasizes inquiry-driven instruction and meaningful professional development. Ruth is the author of several books on teaching writing, including Enticing Hard-to-Reach Writers. Her personal journey as a mother through adoption deeply informs her educational philosophy, as she continues to advocate for compassion, connection, and the power of storytelling.
